Photography B.A. Student at University of Tehran, Class of 2022
The first idea for this project was inspired by an error in the printing process, which resulted in a new cityscape that didn’t exist in real life.
I began the project by photographing the east of Tehran, continuing to the west, and that’s why any unreal landscape seen in this project is, in fact, a mixture of two photographs.
In these photos, we see two real landscapes of Tehran; their juxtaposition creates a third landscape that is not real. One landscape is from the east, and the other from the west, showing a city that the gap between its two sides has been erased.
