Photography M.A. Student at University of Tehran, Class of 2023

On the 13 th day of Farvardin, 1403, I went to several recreational areas in Mazandaran to photograph Sizdah Bedar.

As expected, most of the places were closed due to the Laylat al-Qadr ceremony. So, I decided to go to places in the heart of nature, where there were no restrictions. I continued my way towards Abpari, an area 17 kilometers from Royan, with exquisite weather and a landscape that encouraged one to pause and reflect.
On the way, I encountered some people enjoying their day, having fun. In the meantime, something caught my attention:
figures that seemed to blend into nature. It wasn’t easy to recognize them amidst the vastness and bustle of the environment as if they had become part of the landscape, rather than something apart from it.
Some others were sitting alone in corners, in a state of stillness, as if the time had stopped for them. People who had sought refuge there, to escape their everyday life or to find temporary peace; in a state between presence and absence, between nature and themselves.
